The Christie Hospital in Manchester is the leading experts in cancer care, research, and education. They have been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years and remain committed to helping all those affected by cancer.
As Europe’s leading cancer researchers, The Christie host and deliver conferences and seminars regularly at their Didsbury centre. The company was selected by The Christie Hospital to add to their existing conferencing facilities. At the time they already had sound and AV systems (projector and screen) and required stage lighting and an associated desk to control the stage lighting and existing house lighting systems. This allowed The Christie to deliver a broad range of lighting scenes for their meetings and conferences all from an easy to use a system.
For this project:
- Installed internally wired lighting bars to allow flexibility of light settings
- Installed theatre lighting infrastructure and dimmer installations to the lecture theatre/conference room
- Installed an integrated digital control system enabling theatre lighting to be used in conjunction with the remotely controlled house lighting system
