We enjoy passing on actionable tips here on the PG Stage blog and if we can use some of our technical knowledge to help budding young creatives then we’re always more than happy to oblige.

This week ccskills.org were kind enough to publish one of most recent resources – a basic lighting guide for up and coming stage managers and performing arts students.

It isn’t a complicated (or overly lengthy) guide, but it certainly covers some of the more technical aspects of stage lighting in a digestible manner. Aside from terminology and lighting styles, we’ve also included some top tips for creating atmosphere and scenery. Gobos anyone?

Please pop over to Creative and Cultural Skills  to read the full article or click here to download the full stage lighting guide.
